Spring Village is getting ready for winter to come, and making sure our vegetables continue growing with the frost that is starting to come through these days. The apprenticeship program has started and all of us are ready to learn all the things we possibly can here at the center. We will have focus projects that we will each be working on. Some of the focus projects include getting Megabus to town, working with the North End Greenway, and building a memorial garden here in our backyard (there are many more projects!). We also will be doing research projects; for example: how to build a root cellar, build a bicycle powered washing machine and solar powered shower (that is already in the process)! As always, you are invited to come visit, help, learn, and volunteer if you’d like! We would love to meet you!
We have a wishlist here at the Spring House and if you have extra at your house or are wanting to help out, here is one way to do so. Please give us a call at 540-432-3696 if you’d like to give in this way or just come by and visit us!
